Pre-trip Fun

I think its a requirement, that before every big trip, you must spend every waking moment prior to leaving, working on the bike. Maybe its a dry run to make sure you have all the tools you will need for the trip!

This Week!

You win some and you loose some. Our trip east has cut everyone short of cash, time off, and well, all of our real good excuses. But not all is lost! We have come up with an abridged Born Free tour: haul ass down south thursday, hit up the Dice pre-party, find somewhere to sleep. Then ride over to the Show Class pre-party, find another place to sleep, and then haul ass back north saturday morning, and back into reality!
Its perfect! Besides the fact that we will miss the entire born free show. Like I said, you win some and you loose some. Hope to see everyone there that we have spoken to already, especially all the guys from Europe who are coming over to see the show. See you on the road!

Went to the skatepark today...

Jason was still ripping it, and by the end of our trip out, certain stuff was coming back for both of us.
Great fucking time!

Born Free 5

After putting 1500 miles on the choppers traveling through the midwest, L.A. has a hard act to follow!
Should be a great trip south. Maybe southern California has put some money into its infrastructure? Probably not...

Heading West II/ Homebound

Only a couple hundred miles of Nebraska remained before we cut across the corner of Wyoming and back down into Colorado. A short day on our bikes, still managed to feel like forever!
Next stop Salt Lake City, then back across the Sierra Nevada's and into Sonora.

Heading West

After two and half great days of stories, food, drinks and laughs, it's was time to leave the El Forastero and Sioux City. Of course, the rain that had arrived late Friday night, was still there to see us off Sunday morning. Fully suited up, we said goodbye to the Rogues, who were heading north west to Bozeman Montana, and headed out.
Thankfully we rode out of the rain, but it was replaced by a severe headwind. My gas tank, already being the short tank, was struggling to make it 50 miles with the added wind in our faces. It took us all day, and a lot of gas stops in between, to finally arrive at our destination in south west Nebraska. Another great day though, after the wind died down, of exploring the Midwest's backroads.

A huge thanks to the EFMC for the hospitality and great time. We will see you again!
And we'll see the Rogues next year across the pond! As always, another fucking great trip!

Heading South

We left Chamberlain with fuzzy minds, and headed towards our final destination: Sioux City Iowa.
We spent only a quick 60 miles on the interstate before we headed south through the farmland. Long gas stops, sleeping by a lake, detours and back roads, made us step up the tempo the closer we got to Iowa.
We finally got close, met up with Tom Fugle, and followed him to the clubhouse for food, drinks, and a great history lesson in choppers. Great fucking time!
